Most event spaces in Nanshan are a hotel function room or a restaurant that turns the music up. We're neither. hyphen. Shenzhen is one room on the second floor of Transsion Tower — floor-to-ceiling windows, an open kitchen, a full bar, and a sound system worth listening to. Take part of it or take all of it. Either way it still looks like somewhere you'd choose to be, not somewhere you were assigned.

A menu written for your evening, not pulled off a shelf.

Chef Bi Jingtao came up through Singapore's most demanding rooms — sous chef at Chinoiserie (金泉) at Marina Bay Sands, then JUSTIN Flavours of Asia, after time on the team at Odette. For events he writes the menu from scratch. A set-course French dinner. A Chinese fusion progression. Or our Mediterranean sharing plates down the length of the table — cast iron prawns, Iberian pork ribs, handmade pasta, pintxos across the counter, bread out of our own oven that morning.

Tell him the occasion and who's coming, and the courses get built around that. Dietary requirements and a bilingual menu are never a problem — say so early and it's handled.

HOW IT WORKS

One conversation, then we handle it.

Tell us the date, roughly how many people, and what the evening is for. We come back with a layout, a menu and a drinks plan — and one person who runs the night so nobody on your side has to. A working lunch we can turn around quickly. A larger evening is better with a few weeks behind it.

Everything from a small private dinner to a standing reception for a full floor. Numbers depend on the format — seated dinners hold fewer than a standing event in the same room — so send us your guest count and we'll confirm what works.

Yes. Team lunches, morning workshops, breakfast launches and afternoon press previews all work. The kitchen and the coffee counter run from 08:00.

Yes — that's how most of our events run. Chef Bi builds a set-course menu around the occasion, whether that's French, Chinese fusion, or our Mediterranean sharing style. Tell us who's coming and what the evening is for, and he'll come back with courses.

Yes — vegetarian, vegan, halal-friendly, allergies and anything else. Let us know when you book and it's built into the menu rather than worked around on the night.

We have a sound system we're proud of, and we can accommodate presentations, playlists and live music. Tell us what you need in advance and we'll set the room up for it.

Yes. The room can be arranged so a group has its own defined space without taking the whole venue.
